It’s strange living in a world where music downloading has come into its own. It was nearly a decade ago that MP3 filesharing became the norm through which we acquired songs. No more surfing through CD booklets. No more waiting around for that you like to come on the radio so you can tape record it. We’ve watched a collapse record stores selling albums for $18.99 a pop, a complete breakdown of clueless record labels, and a prissy panic attack from Metallica’s rhythm section.
So the question I have is: what was the first song you ever illegally downloaded. What was the first song that you cared enough to listen to, but not actually purchase?
Nelly, “Country Grammar”.
